About us
Caprivi Rhodesian Ridgebacks is owned by Cheryl Currie-Thompson and Brett Thompson. We are both licensed ANKC judges for various groups. We live at Birdwood in South Australia on a 35 acre picturesque property in the Adelaide Hills.
Our involvement with Rhodesian Ridgebacks began in 1990 but showing dogs began in 1978 with Brett obtaining his first show dog, a Boxer at 13 years old. We have both handled many breeds over the years and have enjoyed success both as owners, breeders and handlers.
We breed 1 - 2 Ridgeback litters per year and have imported dogs from South Africa & Canada and imported frozen semen from USA. We have also exported both puppies and frozen semen overseas.
Conformation showing is our main venture although we have sucessfully titled Ridgebacks in Obedience, Agility and Endurance.
